Suckered for That Kind of Love
I have just seen the movie "The Lakehouse" and i must say that i am a soppy romantic myself. Short from crying with joy at the end of the movie, simply because my mother was there with me, i realised that many of us live in hope that one day we will meet the one who will sweep us off our feet. I have no doubt that it happens to some people but to the many others, we may fall short of it. No magic swooning, no telepathic wink of the eye that spells a secret understanding and men seem to be on a manual mode - not the automatic tranmission most women will have hoped for. Or they change when they know that they have gotten you into their bags.No one is perfect. That is true. And more than not, a relationship works better with good communication, lots of laughter, quarrels, fights, tears, hugs and kisses and a big dose of love. We can be surrounded with so much love that we are blind to it. So, don't throw away the love that you have. We all need it. Afterall, a little bit of dreaming and hoping does not kill. In the meantime, to those who are still waiting for their 'Sleepless in Seattle' to happen, all the best!
(This picture was drawn in the midst of some kind of a desperation. Not bad!)
