Celebration Going Strong at 10pm

I am not too sure if it is for Deepavali or some other festive occasion, but it was pretty nice to know that the neighbourhood tenants are enjoying the celebration party that the local RC (Residents' Committee) has put together. The music was, as usual, loud (as of any other occasion), and people were dancing, clapping and cheering! Excellent~! No doubt the cynic in us might have just snorted and brushed this small affair aside, i feel that efforts like these do actually help to make people feel a part of the community that they live in. Nice to be thought of from time to time. :)

Sydney, Here I Come!!!

So, I will be leaving for Sydney on the morning of the 23rd of October and arriving on the evening of the very same day. And before that, I will have collected all the well wishes that WE, as a gang, would have wanted him to have. Besides Kevin's wedding that I am looking forward to, I am kinda excited on being the tourist - camera and all! Can't wait to take pictures, stuff my face with Krispy Kremes and go on some sight seeing tours? Am considering on going on a short tour around Hunter's Valley. Cheese and wine!! (Psst, oi Henry can you drink? Or would i have to drag you back to the apartment after the trip?)
We have rented, or rather going to rent an apartment for a week at Elizabeth bay. Nothing fancy smancy, just a decent studio apart for 2 at a very reasonable price. On top of that, I have reserved some money for shopping! I still remember the HUGE granny underpants VeVe got me. Okay, so it's not her fault. But i seriously over-estimated my size,... Next time, i think i'll get it myself~! :P
So then, ANY ORDERS? I know Aidil and Jean wants that crunchy nougat thing. Anyone wants anything else? Please place your orders! Oh and VeVe, can't remember what you want. Leave your orders in my 'comments' box please!!!!! OR better yet, EMAIL me! *hehehe*

And So The War of the Infernal and the Departed Begins

And so the war begins! No doubt this time Scorsese has put his finger in the adaptation of the HK film 'Infernal Affairs', i hate to say this but I think i will be biased. 'The Departed' has yet to hit the screens here and I have already decided to rally behind the HK make. Or perhaps i might just blatantly refute that it's the same film altogether. Just like how Hollywood like to 'bastardise' ideas and adaptation of asian films and literature, e.g. 'The Ring' and 'Memoirs if a Geisha', I doubt they would end up being on parr with each other. I must say that western reviews of the HK make do show a lack understanding for the asian culture, I feel that this time round it will the no different. Scorsese scores a possible and plausible HIT while they do not understand why the HK make lacks of action, gun bursting sequences and 'CSI-like' details. Enough said! I shall go watch and then put up my opinion again. And I will probably still stand behind my oriental mates up in HK! And i forgot,... to most in the UK, Asians are people from India and Pakistan while I am an oriental. Not an Asian,... how ironic...

TERIYAKI is Fooriyouuuurs!!

Okay one thing about Tokyo Drift that bugs me is the way the girls scream 'fast and fooooorriyyyooouuurrsss' in the theme song. Don't get me wrong the beats are great and the song is pretty alright to get urself out of bed and go it's 'Feeeyyoouuurriiiiiyyoouuss'. Anyway, so much about the movie about this 30 yr old man trying to looking like an 18 yr old teenager, the car art was wooohooo. And the drifitng, no matter how much others might claim that it is fake (even if it was computer graphics), was pretty stunning. So, hmmmm where can i go learn how to stunt drive? Wait, let me get my license first. *hehe,....* Might just be jumping the gun here! Can't even do a half clutch without the car stalling on me,... so much for even thinking about stunt driving,... *snorts*
Oh and the amount of funny crap you get on youtube.com on Tokyo Drift is amazing! And Sung Kang who played 'Han' in the movie is sooo cute. *hahah,...* I am beginning to sound like a bimbo. I think i need my sleep,...

UnGodly Hours Of Consciousness

I am awake at 10am in the morning. This is probably the first few times in 3 mnths whereby I opened my eyes to the bright white ceiling in my room. The air-conditioning is still blowing and my body is still asleep. But my mind is awake. I don't think my body can react as fast as my brain,.... this just sounds sooooo ridiculous.
So, here i am typing this blog wondering what and when i can make myself go take a shower and head out of the house. Bought a return ticket to Sydney. Will be attending Kevin's wedding there, together with HENRY and yes we are going to share an apartment. Hahaha,.... will aim to take stupid pictures of him sleeping! While i am typing all this down, Red Hot Chilli Pepper is blasting somewhere in the backgrounds of my room - Danny California. Managed to move my ass to the kitchen to make myself some apple tea, the way i like it - black tea with slices of apples.
I think i am going back to bed,.... *yawn*. How can we wake up so early and go to work, feeling good about it? No wonder a majority of the workforce are grumps in the morning. No wait, make that zombies. This is the time when record amounts of coffee and tea are gulped down in a desperate attempt to jolt the system into action - full steam ahead. Man,.. this sounds depressing. We should get to work at 1030am and wake up slightly later. Maybe we won't be so pissed off all the time.
So, while i am enjoying my life as a bum, here's a morning tea toast to all my other friends who are at work, scrambling in the rat race of work and OT and utterly stupifying bosses and unreasonable hours. I will sleep your mornings for you! *muwahahha*

The Pink Puss Posed

Got new CDs! One's Cafe del Mar's ChillHouse Mix 4 by Bruno. Love track 7 of the first CD. Then I also got Thievery Corporations new collection compilation. It's called Versions. Very chilled and relaxed. And last but not least Dimitri From Paris: In The House of Love. Funky soul classic mixes - excellent for a gold disc ball party. I wanna dance! Shake my booty and wear my golden shoes!!! Anyway, I illustrated this if anybody wants to know.
And while i was typing this piece of BLOG, you'd never guess what happened AGAIN!!!! I received a call from INDIA, asking me to do a SURVEY on the IT industry in Singapore! I mean what are the chances of you getting hit by lightening twice!!!!! Jeeze,... and where the heck did they get my number?! IT? I am the last person they should be asking about IT! Man,... talking about getting called twice within 3 months! If only I can strike the lottery jackpot twice!

Quick Pull His Ear!

Okay, so these are the pictures of what has happened during that day of revelation. He had sparklers! Compliments of the staff at Fish & Co. and they all got together and 'RAPPED' him a birthday song!! OOOOoooooo,... yo yo yo!! It was funny cool. And of course, his presents! Fish & Co, gave him a postcard and a great polaroid of us beaming our white pearlies, while we got him vouchers. Yes, we are there,.... can't think of what to get each other anymore!!!
Anyway, news is that Sharul is going to Las Vegas for his work. He will be at the famous strip city for a month!!! Be it getting married by Elvis or staring at jiggly busoms, I think he will have some great fun! Good for you!! And don't forget my Reese's Peanut Butter Cups!!! I want a huge bag of it!
And somehow, i just realised that Dil blended into the background,... yellow all round. I am missing my yellow bit since i am famous for those yellow slippies and sunburnt scalped 'coconut-tree' hair poms.
Anyway, i am craving for that Secret Recipe walnut brownie!!!!! When are we going to Siglap again????? Dil, you know u want it!! *muwahahah,...*

Finally, One of Us Hit the BIG 30

Besides "Einy Porter" who has already passed his big 30 mark, the first in our gang to hit the marker is AIDIL! Definitely not looking a day older since poly days, i wonder when we are going to start looking our age. No one has ever satisfactorily accept that I am 28 either.
Anyway, it was a big occasion for Dil and honestly, i am glad we all did this together. Today my mum was asking me why i hang out with my friends so often. And the reason is, coz we are GOOD, CLOSE and BEST of friends. I did however mention to her blatantly that if you want friends that last forever, you have got to put in the effort no? Well, besides that, I think my 'japan' frame of mind is still intact and over boiling sometimes. I kinda accepted that perhaps i am a pseudo "cutsie-puke-face" wannabe. And the silly pictures. Definitely more interesting to look at when u get older! And you go,... why did i do that?! And so my crusade to collect more wonderfully funny and silly memories and pictures go on! Yay!!!!!!!!!!
